The Electrical Engine will take in Industrial Craft EU and power all of Forestry and BuildCraft's machines.
This engine requires a constant RedstonE signal to work regardless of whether it has an electrical current passing through it or not.
The Electrical Engine is great for long usage because it does not overheat and explode, however, if all the energy it is making does not have a place to go, or it is receiving too much energy to use it all, it will slowly heat up and go into forced cooldown mode, which shuts down the engine for a period ftime, as well as destroying a huge chunk of the stored MJ. It is also great attached to a machine shop, since electricity is readily available, and an electrical engine will remove a full stack from a chest or a machine.
Instead of Electrical engines, you can now use the Energy Link which works more efficient.
Without upgrades, requires 6 EU/t to produce 2 MJ/t. Accepts any voltage. If IC2 is not installed, this machine will not produce MJ
- 3 x Tin Ingot
- 1 x Glass
- 1 x Piston
- 2 x Tin Gear
Produces: 1 x Electrical Engine
The Electrical Engine can be upgraded with Copper, Bronze, Tin and Iron Electron Tubes. The effects of these tubes are:
|Type of tube||Effect (Max stack)||Change in input EU||Change in output MJ|
|Copper||Choke(1)||-2 EU/t||-1 MJ/t|
|Tin||Boost I(2)||+7 EU/t||+2 MJ/t|
|Bronze||Boost II(2)||+15 EU/t||+4 MJ/t|
|Iron||Efficiency(1)||-1 EU/t||No change|
